Professional Learning Summary

The Master of Education (Learning and Leading) has strengthened my ability to analyse educational practice, design research-informed improvement strategies, and lead professional learning within complex school environments. Across the program I have developed capabilities in practice-based research, leadership for professional learning, and the ethical use of evidence to guide decision-making in schools.

A central theme throughout my learning has been the relationship between research and practice. Rather than viewing research as something conducted outside schools, the program emphasised how educators can engage in practice-based inquiry to improve teaching, learning, and student engagement.

Through this work I have developed a deeper understanding of how professional practices are shaped by cultural, organisational, and relational conditions within schools. This perspective has strengthened my ability to lead change in ways that are collaborative, ethically grounded, and responsive to the needs of teachers and students.

The curated portfolio below highlights key professional capabilities developed through the program and provides examples of how these capabilities are applied within my professional practice.
